Alive in a Different Skin

I fell in love at first sight today. I saw my avatar looking back at me from the monitor screen and I fell hard. I've had cute avatars. I've played with hair and makeup and flirty outfits and naughty attachments...but this one was different. It was like the answer to a question I hadn't thought to ask.

My imagination is spinning with ideas...she's so clearly not me...she must have a back story. A life she leads that's me and yet apart from me too. It's more like she's a channel to another world.

So anyone else have that reaction to an avatar they have created? Like you're pygmalion and what you thought was entirely your creation seems to have more power and substance than you ever dreamed.

or...have I just been playing Second Life too much?
